Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore won the Orange Cap Award for leading run-scorer in the ninth edition of the IPL in 2016. The right-handed opener scored 973 runs in 16 matches at an average of 81.08 and strike rate of 152.03. This includes 4 centuries and 7 fifties. He hit 83 fours and 38 sixes.
